I have to be honest. I never believed in love at first sight. Call me a cynic if you want, but that’s how I’ve always felt…
until I laid eyes on this beauty. *Sigh*
In the words of Tigger, this personal laminator is B-E-A-U-tiful!
I mean, what teacher doesn’t love the warm plastic-y smell of a laminating machine warming up?
I was so excited, I couldn’t wait to open it up and try it out.
Here’s everything that came with my Fellowes Saturn 2 125 laminator. It included 2 packs of laminating pouches- one for photo sized items and one for a regular 8 and 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper.
Now, all I needed was something to laminate! Except… I literally just laminated a ton of stuff at school. Luckily (well unluckily) I had spilled water on a few of the pieces of my calendar before I got to laminate them, so I reprinted the pieces that I had ruined, turned on my laminator, and was ready to go.
I read the directions, but honestly it was really easy to use. You turn it on, select the pouch thickness (which is right on the front of the package) and wait a few minutes. Can I tell you, I was SO impressed with how quickly it warmed up! We have an awesome, huge laminator at school. It works great, but it takes forever to heat up. My Saturn was ready in about 5 minutes (and it pinged to let me know it was ready.)
All I did was place my paper in the pouch, and stick it in the laminator! That’s it. 🙂
And Voila! It worked so well!
Can you tell which pieces I laminated on the big laminator at school and which I laminated on my Saturn? Me either!
If you’d like your own laminator, check out mybinding.com. They’re awesome and affordable.
If you like my tropical classroom pack, you can purchase it in my TpT store. On sale today! 🙂 (Just a heads up, I blew up the calendar and printed it larger than it comes in the pack. You can easily do this at Staples or other office supply stores.)
Until next time,
