Top 5 Freebies of the Week 8/24/2013

Happy Saturday! I hope you’re having a wonderful day. If you just completed your first week of school, congratulations. 🙂 I can finally get into my classroom this week, so I’m super excited to get busy setting up my room. Look for my classroom reveal (hopefully) next weekend!

Just a quick reminder, if you made purchases during last week’s big sale at TpT, make sure you leave {feedback} so you can earn TpT credits. Now lets get to the freebies!Top 5 freebies pic

Number 5.

Parent-survey #freebie

Help build a strong home-school partnership from day one by asking parents for their input about their child’s education with this freebie from Kathy Ryan. This four page survey will provide you valuable information while letting your students’ parents know you care.

Number 4.

Letter A QR Code Activity

I am always a fan of unique ideas that use technology, and QR codes are just so much fun! That’s why I love this QR freebie from Anne Rowell for the letter A. I love that these activties reach students on a visual, kinethetic, and musical level.

Number 3.

Here is a fun way for your students to practice adding single digit numbers for sums from 5 to 18 from Little Miss Edugator. Students will love this cute file folder game where they get to match the fish to the correct sum bubble.

Number 2.

Grammargories FREEBIE

I don’t know about you, but I always LOVED to play Scategories as a kid. Well, this fun twist on that game from Aspire to Inspire uses the same concept to help your students practice their parts of speech! This would be great for upper elementary students!

Number 1.

I love this cute and simple mini-book project from Lisa Lilienthal. It would make a great “first day of school” activity! Included are activity directions, mini-book card pages with examples, and project photos. Students will love practicing listening and speaking skills as they share their “All About Me” books!

Don’t forget to leave some love for the fabulous freebies!
