Top 5 Freebies of the Week 8/31/2013

I have been busy working on my room this week, but I am super excited because it’s done. I still have a few finishing touches to add, but I feel like it’s finally “kid ready”. If you missed my {post} the other day, you might not know that I’ll be teaching 2nd grade now this year, and I’m thrilled! Since I only had about a week to prepare, I was really thankful for generous friends and an understanding husband. Make sure to stop back tomorrow to check out my tropical classroom! 🙂

FREE Scientific Method Posters

I’m a big fan of allowing students to do experiments and investigations using the scientific method. That’s why I love these colorful FREE posters from Holly Rachel! These would be a great addition to any elementary classroom.

Number 4.

I know that helping students to understand exactly what a complete sentence consists of can be a really tough concept. Here’s a free lesson from Thinking Out Loud that will help your students with this tricky concept.

My number one is slightly selfish. This adorable freebie from Practice Make Perfect is what I will be using to welcome my 2nd graders to school this year! It matches my tropical theme perfectly, and I figured that if I love it, you would too! Add a bag of goldfish, and you’re good to go!
