Top 5 Freebies of the Week 1/18/2014

Happy 3 Day Weekend, All! I’ll be back either tomorrow or Monday to show you what we’ve been working on this week, but for now I’m getting right to the freebies. 🙂Top 5 freebies pic

Number 5.

100-words freebie

Looking for a fun activity for the 100th Day of School? Check out this freebie from KTP on TPT  This download includes a 10×10 grid for your students to write 100 words for the 100th day!  One page has 10 categories already listed and the other is blank, for students who want to come up with their own words.

Number 4.

Real Word Nonsense Word Freebie

Check out this delicious activity to practice sorting “real” words from “nonsense” words from Triple the Love in Grade 1. There are 18 cake pops to sort. Perfect for Valentine’s Day or anytime of the year!

Number 3.

Freebie_LetterPig

This letter writing freebie from Roller English is perfect for a study of fables and fairy tales. Students pretend their one of the three little pigs and write a letter to their mama explain what they’ll make their house out of. My class just so happens to be studying The Three Little Pigs and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs next week, so this activity will be perfect!

Number 2.

Winter-nature-walk-FREEBIE

Here’s another great nature walk freebie from Green Grubs Garden Club. Get your kids bundled up in some warm clothes, grab your magnifying glasses and head outside for a Winter Nature Walk! This is a fun outside activity allowing your children to soak up the simple pleasures of nature.

Number 1.

snowballfightfreebie

Here is a super fun game from Stephanie Trapp. Inspired by the game “Battleship”, students take turns throwing snowballs (marshmallows) at each other by calling out places on their game board grid. When a player correctly guesses where their opponent is hiding, it’s a direct hit and they win! Great for centers or indoor play on those cold winter days!

Enjoy your 3 day weekend! 🙂
