Happy Saturday! It’s crazy that some of you are getting ready to go back in the next week or so! When do you go back? We don’t start until September, so all of the back-to-school ads on TV are SO not welcome yet.
If you’re headed back to school, grab this freebie from Suzy Palmer! These pages can be used to get to know your students, serve as informal assessments, or as keepsakes for a time capsule. The best part is that there is so little prep! Just print and copy!
Tuck this freebie from Learning Inspired away for when you’re working on place value. This freebie can be used to practice, review or assess place value with numbers up to 100. Each task card represents a number using base ten blocks. Students write the number on the card using the provided answer sheet.
The game includes teacher directions, 20 task cards, a recording sheet, and an answer sheet.
Here’s a great freebie from Teaching with Passion and Perspective. Back to School Count the Room is a counting (to 10) activity featuring ten frames. Two recording sheets are provided to allow for differentiation depending on the student’s academic level. This could be used around the room or in a center. Students love the independence of using a clipboard to work on activities like this!
Here is a fun little activity from Kelie Hall to use with your incoming 3rd graders to quickly check how well they remember their 2nd grade math skills. This can also be used at the end of 2nd grade as review.
24 task cards
directions for use
