Motivating Your Students to Make Good Choices

Hi Folks! Long time, no blog! I’ve been crazy busy with everything else in my life, and then realized this morning “Hey, I haven’t blogged in… weeks and weeks! Oops!” So, today I have a quick little post on this Friday. I’d like to share a way to motivate your students to make good choices.

My classroom has been a tropical theme for the past 2 years, so I can up with this bulletin board.

This is my “Get Caught Doing Good” board! Each fish has a student’s name on it and when I see them making smart choices our helping out a friend, I put a sticker on their fish! When they’re fish is full ,they get to take it home and I put up a new fish for them. Easy, peasy and a great motivator.

Some other ideas for catchy titles:

Bees- Bee Kind in the Hive

Sunglasses- It’s Cool to Make good Choices

Super Heroes- Be a Super Friend

Aaaand, that’s all I’ve got this morning. 😉

How do you motivate your students to be kind and helpful? Comment and let me know!
