DIY Magnetic Toilet Paper Roll Pen Holder

Hi Friends!

Tonight I want to share with you a cool project you can make with an empty toilet paper roll: a magnetic pen holder. I made mine to go on my fridge at home, but you could easy put it on your metal desk, a dry erase board, or other magnetic surfaces at school.

It’s super easy, super handy, and super cute!

I must confess that I didn’t come up with the idea myself. I found it here. However, since there weren’t any step by step directions, I thought it would be cool to make my own and then post the steps for you!

Okay, so here’s what you need:

TPSupplies

Toilet paper roll (empty of course)

Cute scrapbook paper

Scissors

Tape

Magnet

First, get your roll of toilet paper.

TPStep1

Cut a strip of your scrapbook paper that is the same size as your roll and wrap it around.

TPStep2

Next, fold in the bottom of the roll like this and tape it shut.

TPStep3

You should now have something that looks like this.

TPStep4

Now, just tape a magnet to the back. Make sure your magnet is pretty strong.

TPStep5

Add some pens and place on whatever surface you want, and you’re done!

TPStep6

I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial, and thank you to Shelly from Sow and Dipty for coming up with such a FAB idea!
